         HOLLY

 

Holly has a radiant smile that will warm any heart. She is a hard worker, dependable and very loyal. She has a special way of making others feel welcome and considers everyone a friend. To Holly, people have tremendous value and she will always be there for her friends. 

Holly began riding at Stillwater Stables September 08. She has earned her certificate from the Green series and is currently working on the Red series for the Riding Academy. She has been a T-4 leader since Jan 09 and puts her heart and soul into the mission here.

Holly has a desire to follow God and His direction for her life. She believes that having just a little hope can take you through  difficult times. Through these times, God is able to show how faithful He really is. 

Holly is 100% passionate about the mission at Stillwater Stables. She loves working with children/youth and with horses. When asked why she loves it she replied: 

"Working with kids is one of my passions because it makes me feel like I could do anything. They can be difficult and I struggle sometimes but when you watch them go and do what you've been teaching them and they do it perfectly or run up to there parents and quote everything you just taught them its an amazing feeling. I also love horses because working with them is really something that I've always wanted to do. Horses bring out the best in people and you see things about people you might not have seen. They also show things you need to grow and improve in and are constantly challenging you to push harder. They teach you things about yourself that you might not have known.

Programs like this aren't just teaching kids how to ride they're teaching how to improve themselves and push past there fears to see how much they can really accomplish when they try. Being apart of that and seeing lives changed because of horses and helping be apart of that is an amazing thing".

               VICTORIA 
  

                                                                                                                     

 Energetic, exciting, silly , full of life and hilarious are a few words that come to mind to describe Victoria.  She always has a smile ready that lights up any room that she is in.  She is also full of compassion and would give the shirt off her back to help someone who is in need or less fortunate.  

Victoria has been riding at Stillwater Stables since summer of "07" . She has completed the green series and is now working on the red series for the Riding Academy. She has been an official T-4 leader since "08" and has stepped up to the challenge of the position.   

Victoria loves horses and one of her favorite breeds is the  Appaloosa. She is crazy about Chance who is a POA and they have become quite a hilarious pair to watch. She has helped with the progress of Chance's training and they love to give each other a hard time. 

Victoria is excited to be a part of the program and is passionate about the mission. Feeling God has a plan for her here she is ready to make a difference in the lives of others.  This is obvious in her enthusiasm that she shows in her work (cleaning stalls, sweeping etc), in her riding and in the way she connects to the children that she works with.

With the passing away of her dad several years ago , Victoria has a sincere understanding  of what loss feels like.  She has a compassion for others who have experienced loss and would like to take the pain that she has been working through and help others who have also experienced  loss.  She has been learning that God never leaves us in our pain and that the experiences we go through can eventually be used for good.  She knows that horses can never replace the hole that the loss of a love one can leave, but she knows that God can use them in the healing process.
